YWCA Greater Baton Rouge celebrated the official opening of our first housing community, YWCA Providence Place Apartments, with a celebratory open house and reception. This new apartment community represents hope and new beginnings for women and children, providing them with a modern, safe and comfortable home as they rebuild their lives after overcoming significant obstacles, such as trauma, loss, and surviving domestic violence.

This new community has been created, developed, and constructed by women, for women. It is a result of an important collaboration among community partners working together.

The YWCA offers pathways to numerous resources for each family to gain a fresh start. Every day, we receive phone calls from individuals in crisis. The calls may be from women living in cars with their children or someone in need of a safety plan. Our greatest challenge is providing the vital resource of housing, as safety is the most important factor in enhancing their recovery. Welcome to YWCA Providence Place Apartments.

Join the YWCA Greater Baton Rouge today. Let’s work together to enhance our services, empower women and eliminate racism.
